Born out of a need to make things that we wanted to see and the opportunity to work with the many talented people we know, Do Be Good Films is the cinematic lovechild of Jennine Heymer and Lucy Ratz. As tragic current affair junkies, with the ABC news notifications constantly chiming, our sharing of intriguing articles knows no bounds. From this, Do Be Good Films has found its humble beginnings in the simple philosophy of ‘What if?’ .
Basically, we want to turn great stories into good films and we want to work with people who love what they do — the rest is up to the audience.

Jennine has spent the past 25 years working in the production of feature films, television commercials and Brand stories. Now, she’s leaping into the director’s chair to makE her directorial debut with '“DREA! What Have You Done?”.
A true lover of great stories and what it takes to bring them to life, Jennine thrives on collaboration and damn-good filmmaking—because let’s be honest, they go hand in hand.
Jennine is also part of Screen Queensland’s highly competitive screenwriting program for 2024… so there are many more scripts where that came from!

Lucy is a young producer with a curiosity that rivals the cat’s—seriously, She wants to know how everything works, what makes a project good and how to stitch it all together like a patchwork quilt (minus the sewing skills, of course).
Whether she’s scribbling character names on sticky notes, Brainstorming shoot approaches, wrangling a keen crew, drafting callsheets, or navigating the maze of post-production to hit deadlines, Lucy is all in for every part of the process.
She’d say she’s pretty lucky to work with wonderfully talented people at every stage and tell stories we all care about—who wouldn’t be sold on that?!
